Student loans? I currently have two student loans in default. I already made arangements to pay my deferred loans and I have been paying them on time for the past three months. I would like to know can they still garnish my income tax although I am paying on the loans?

Then i found out i am paying interest, and read in the paper today that the current interest rate on student loans is 4.8% and that on the average loan of £12,000 if no repayments are made the interest could be a staggering £526 a year!! Can any graduates tell me a bit more, how much do you pay back each month? I would never have gone to uni if i'd known how much it was gonna cost! xx

Student Loans? I'm currently in grade 12, and I'm in the process of applying to universities and for student loans. On the OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) website, they only have applications for 2006-2007 and 2007-2008. For the 2007-2008 application, I would fill out the form that indicates I'm in a postsecondary program that STARTS any time between August 1, 2007, and July 31, 2008. There is no application on the OSAP website for the 2008-2009 school year, which is when I'll be in university. So, when do I apply for OSAP? When I'm already IN university? I thought that you apply for student loans in grade 12, right before you start your postsecondary education.

Student loans?? i live in va and i am trying to go to richard bland community college but i see that they dont participate in student loans programs at the time. so what does that mean? does it mean that i will not be able to get an outside loan to pay for college or i will have to find an outside loan like from a bank or somebody to help pay for college!! don't all colleges offer students the opportunity to find an outside lender to help them pay for college if they choose to?

student loans.? I am going to have to give a little bit of history here. My mom and i ran a daycare togeather. Believe it or not we both wanted to become chiros. So we gave up the daycare and went to college togeather. Of course i got student loans. then bam, my mom had to have a tumor removed from her neck. She was unable to move her arm. Hey everyone, i have just got done enrolling in college and recieved financial aid through the fafsa and everything is taken care of, but i was counting on getting a reund check for the amount of one of the loans that i might have not needed the whole thing for school, i needed it for transportation as well as supplies and living expenses, knowing that i already recieved financial aid from the fafsa is their any way i can still apply for a student loan or grant that doesnt require a credit check that will be money i can use for the things mentioned above.
