Financial help? Where can I find a little financial help? I am willing to work at home on the computer. I am living on disability right now. I do not qualify for SS. Where I live, the job I had does not pay into SS. I have a master+ 15 degree in education and my current income is less than half my former one. Please do not suggest outside employment. If I could do that, I would go back to the job I loved....they hold it for five years. I also do not qualify for food stamps, medicaid, or anything else through my local JFS. I have leukopenia, hypothyroidism, autoimmune hepatitis, diabetes,and rhumatoid arthritis...so if you suffer similar problems, I'd like to hear from you. financial help?? I live in florida, and I was wondering why section 8 landlords are doing credit checks? I thought that section 8 is for low income people who are experiencing financial problems and now they are saying that you have to have a good credit rating, and are denying people who have problematic credit. I can understand if there were evictions, but I have no evictions on my record and they still rejected me. my credit is not perfect, but it is better than others. Financial Help? I have about 4-5 credit cards, and 3 of them have just about exceeded their limit (which is about $2,000) . I was wondering if anyone knew if getting an AMEX card and just paying the balances off with that card and then just pay off the Amex. If you have any other suggestions- i would appreciate. I do not want to take out a loan.

Financial Help? I hit a rough patch back in December/January were I was a little behind in everything. I called and explained myself and everyone worked with me. Last month I made my last BIG house payment (normal payment plus extra payment tacked to spread out Dec's payment) I have caught up on everything or so I thought. Today I get a call from my car financier saying that I needed to pay x amount by Thursday to catch up and if I did they would allow me a two month extention and in July I would be returning to my normal car payment. Now she told me that she was fixing to put a repo claim in or something along those lines and would if I did not pony up. Either way I paid my amount talked to a really nice guy who assured me I was out of repo status and no my car would not be taken, I am just wondering now that I am back on my feet what are some budget tips, techniques you guys have. I don't want this to happen ever again. Any idea why the car company did this? I do not have any credit card debt as far-out as that sounds. This was a job situation, but I have since found a better paying job. He said No, you did everything you were suppose to do, you are fine. So I made sure to check on that! I live in a shared house with three other people and was wondering if i would have to pay council tax? Legal help regarding financial aid? I have a BBA in MIS. 2 years after I graduated I decided to get a certification in Web Development @ the local Community College (CC). I completed the FAFSA & indicated I already had a degree. I was awarded financial aid. A year later I applied 4 work study. I mentioned the fact that I used to work in the Business Office at the university I graduated from. A financial aid counselor for the CC then told me that I wasn't eligible for work study because I already had a degree and I shouldn't have received financial aid. She then told me I had to pay back the money to the CC. I didn't have money at the time. I withdrew from classes and I didn't pay them. Now 6 years later I receive a letter from an attorney b/c the CC referred my acct to them. I need to know if I'm liable. I didn't lie on my application...the CC made a mistake that I wasn't aware of. Wedding help ! - Financial? My fiancé and I are getting married April 28th and we have run into some unexpected financial expenses. To make a long story short, we are about $1,500 short of what we need for the wedding. We both go to school and work, so we can’t pick up extra jobs and we have tried to take out a couple personal loans, but both times we were denied. On my second job I drive a 8 passanger van for a limo company. While on the job the dispatcher sent me to the airport to pickup two different passangers. When the passangers call dispatch then they let them know that i'm in the vacinity and where to meet me. The dispatcher said that one of my passangers was in a wheelchair and she had talked to the airport porter. My first passanger was a lady and she waved at me to let me know. I pulled over close to her and took her luggage, my second passanger I called out his name several times and finally I spotted him with the porter. When I approached him the porter left and I wheeled the man close to the van. could not leave the man on the street and I could not leave my vechicle, so I tried to lift the man. Finally I got him in the van and delivered my first passanger and my second passanger I asked him if theres somebody going to be waiting for him. He said he was visiting his 80 year old parents. I had to help this man all by myself off the van and into his house. I called Dispatch and told them I was in pain and was going home. they said I had to go back to the airport for other passangers. I had no insurance to get help so finally I went to the hospital a couple of days later. I told the owner and he sent me to get medical attention. The clinic sent me to therapy. The owner has no workmans comp insurance. Finally after 6 weeks and therapy and still in pain the doctor took MRI's . I have 3 hernirated and bulging disc from my neck down plus tears. No money to pay my rent,utilities, car payment,etc. everything now 2 months behind. Had to get a lawyer. All this takes years probably. What do i do in the mean time?

I have had to declare bankruptcy in 06 I had lots of slow/no pays prior in various types of credit. I also had a house begin the forclosure process. I sold it prior to total forclosure, but it shows up on my credit report as "forclosure begun" I have student loan debts:$40k I have a question about credit first: how long until the mortgage comes off of the report?
