is there financial assistance or help to send children to christian schools? I am considering sending my son to a christian high school. it is very expensive. the school has a financial assistance application but is subjective to how many kids qualify and need it. Our family income is not as much as most so i was wondering if anyone has heard of an organization or group that will assist with tuition payments?
We run a christian orphanage and require financial and material support. What are the possibilities? We have about 70 children with us and all are being educated in government schools. There are some children with extraordinary talents and we need to hone this. We are based in South India and are a registered trust. Anybody who wants to visit us are welcome.
Financial help for Christian Missionaries in college? I am attending Liberty University for a major in ICST (Inter-cultural studies). I am wanting to be a missionary to Israel! I am training to become multi-lingual in hebrew, english, and arabic. But the only thing that is holding me back it paying for school. After I graduate from college I want to join the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. The IMB would pay for my mission work in Israel so I would not need funding for that. I do not have a dad (come from a broken home and I was mentally and physically abused by him) so it is only my mom supporting my family and I (I have 5 siblings). So she can not financially help me with school so I have to pull out loans. I will be about $80,000 in debt by graduation because of it and it will take me over 10 years to pay it off..I will pretty much never get to the mission field. Please, if you know of anyone who can help me or how I can become debt free, please help!!! Here am I. SEND ME!!! To comment on Emma, I plan to live in Israel and give up my American citizenship. I would like a Christian perspective on a financial concern of mine regarding myself and my Fiancee- help? Anyone is welcome to respond- but I would especially like to hear true Christian people and their views on money. I am engaged to be married in a few months. I feel like my Fiancee tries to control my money. I am not a rich man. As a matter of fact, I am on SSDI. I am working with my Fiancee cleaning houses, but it is only part time, and the income is very meagher. She has recently told me that she wants to have access to my SSDI account, the balance, the passwords, etc. I do not feel comfortable. I have some trust issues with money, possibly because I have had to financially support my parents for a while now. It is complicated. My Fiancee is very persistent and strong-willed. She intimidates me sometimes. She is very very adamant about us having one single account- but I do not feel comfortable with this. What can we do to resolve this? Financial Advice needed - can you help? Will try to narrow down and share the pertinent details... Please don't judge... I'm a single mom and a senior in college. In Sept I sent my school-aged child to live with my mom to help because of the stress level. Because of plans in the future and because of some issues in my past (and so I can be the mom I need to be), I am going to attend a 3 month Christian counseling residential program to help work out all my issues. My child's father pays a little child support - but I will need to maintain the bills while I am in the program still, leavnig only about $100 a month to send to my mom a month. While in the counseling program, I'll be able to work part-time to pay for bills, to send her money, and to pay for my program ($500/month). Do you have any advice that could share to help my mom? I hate to add the extra burden to her - her budget is tighter than mine, I am pretty sure. <>< We will be living in 2 different states during my time in the program. Thanks for the advice so far too! Should a Christian husband and wife have separate checking accounts? Some Christian financial experts say it is wrong for a husband and wife to have separate checking accounts. They cite the verse about "two shall become one," and claim that applies to checking accounts. I think it is healthy for each spouse to have a share in financial responsibility. I think on financial terms a husband and wife can be like a corporation that has various subsidiary operations. Each spouse has responsibility for certain bills, as decided jointly. I think this is more of a cooperative way, so that I am not a domineering husband doling out a weekly allowance to my wife. Does anyone know of any medical or financial programs to help with a must needed back surgery? I am a 43 year old female, single mother of a 12 year old son.I was diagnosed with FM, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Thyroid Disease, HighBlood Pressure,Mitral Valve Prolapsed, Depression,TMJ, and 2 bulged discs in my back.I have been fighting the discs in my back since 2000. I have been getting Cortisone SI Joint Injections and physical therapy as needed. I have no medical coverage. There is a "Christian Clinic" in a neighboring town that does help where they can with meds. But no further medical care.I had to visit the ER about a week ago because the pain was so severe and I had tremendous numbing in my left leg, back , buttocks, and foot. They gave me 3 shots and sent me home because our larger town 10 miles away, Mountain Home, Arkansas has no Neuro Physicians here. We would have to travel 120 miles North to Springfield, Missouri. But with no insurance and no employment or funding how does a person do that? Does anyone know of any programs that may help me? Sincerely, Gena
Where to ask for financial help for a church ? Im staying at this place called Nanoom Christian Fellowship. this church provides shelters and solutions to those who have trouble with drugs. They try to heal you for FREE food, shelter, programs ....etc through grace of god but this breaks my heart how come over 11 years over 500 people graduated from this place yet nobody wants to comeback whether they are successful or not..... everyone wants to forget about their past at least the bad side which is understandable but they also forget the people that helped them when the whole world looked down on you as a drug addict and rejected you. i've been staying here for about 4 months and I am so proud to be here and be apart of this church. but not everyone feels that way right now this church owns more then $300,000 to the bank for feeding, sheltering people that jesus talked and helped same people that was rejected by the world. i have no money to help this place. how and who can help this great church that no one seems to care ???

My 2 yr. old nephew is in the Pediatric Intensive Care unit in Dallas, we need help financially, is there help He was in a major accident causing major skull fractures, broken leg, right on hip and Femur bone. what should a christian wife do with a verbaly abusive christian husband? no matter how hard i try i can't seem to please my husband. he demands respect n says all the probs we have r all my fault. in his eyes i don't live up to my christian walk as i should, because i'm always finding a way to offend him. he condemns my walk with christ. looses his temper screams n yells stinging my heart without the slightest care in the world how it's affecting me. he says i'm creating stumbling blocks before him causing him to sin by losing his temper by the way i use my words it doesn't matter if i'm talking to him or someone else on the phone. i can't be myself anymore when he's here. i've often thought if silent treatment would be better n speak only when spoken to. u see i'm disabled nowhere to go no friends or family who believe me. my daughter seems to think her financial wellbeing to get him to supply needs she has when broke is more important then her mom. he's only her step dad. please i really need some help here. thanx
As a Christian in the USA, how do you vote for ANYONE? They're all liars. They all use their positions to line their pockets. Democrat or Republican, all of them look out first for the interests of their friends and allies. The current administration has robbed us of God-given rights in the name of security. They have awarded no-work contracts to companies they have a financial interest in. The previous administration was in favor of abortion, welfare for no work, and its president used his position of power to indulge his own sexual desires and then lied about it to the people. If I vote for an anti-abortion candidate based on that issue alone, I am giving power to a liar who will let people die so that his friends get richer. If I vote for someone who claims to have the interests of the poor at heart, I'm voting for another liar who is likely pro-abortion. One side uses the word of God to justify war and killing, the other side uses the same bible to justify higher taxes and giveaways to lazy people in the name of compassion.
If it is the will of God for christian to be rich ,why were the 12 disciples so poor? There are a lot of pastors today who think that God was preserving the financial gain for the christian of our era only. It is obvious that these pastors are deceived but what troubles me is the multitude that are following them. I wonder what would happened if these followers start to ask how would they know that the money there received is from God. The bible says that God is the only wise God .That being said , If God is the wise why would He confuse us or how come He can not tell us for sure that the money is gift from Him. Scriptures say that one time Peter needed money to pay some taxes the Lord Jesus told Peter to go to the sea and to open the first fish that he had catch and he will find the money. Peter went and did exactly what Jesus had told him and the money was right there. See my point it was clear that the money was from God.

How can I become more assertive? I want to know how I can be more assertive in general- in particular, when it comes to asking for what I want, like at work, for example. I am a nice, Christian man- and I am meek, to some extent. I want to be well-behaved and set an example. However, I want to be able to stand up for myself in every situation. Another problem area for me is standing up for myself when it comes to money matters with my parents. They often ask me to pay for the rent- but I am getting married in a few months, and I can't afford it. I have to start saving up for my wife and I. I am in Phoenix and I am in need of rental and utility assistance other than Sunnyslope Family Services? I have also tried a few Churches in our neighborhood. My husband is unable to work because he has had 9 surgerys in the last year, and he is still under doctors care. I have spent to last year + taking care of him. We have a 8 year old child. The fact is that I am not qualified to be a minister of the Christian faith. I could invent my own faith and give Christianity some competition, though. If I could invent a faith which demanded less of its followers and did not demand coercive or conditional commitments, it might just have a chance. Why does God allow (supposedly) godly people to hit financial rock bottom? I was reading a story the other day about a Christian family who suffered financial ruin, but still praised God because God upheld them in their time of crisis. But why did God permit this family to suffer financial ruin in the first place? I'm sure that they prayed to him in their time of need. I believe in God, but just wonder why God allows Christians or devout Jews (etc) to suffer.

How do I get a financial grant for being a living kidney donor? I just thought that I had done the most wonderful thing in my life and thats to become a living donor and save someones life and I was double crossed. I had registered with my local hospital to become a living donor and was approached by the National Jewish Masadah Foundation to become a living donor to a patient in Israel. Being the strong man of faith I am I agreed to be screened. I went there passed all the tests and visted the Holy land and was told I was a perfect match. The Foundation told me the patients insurance would pick up all expenses along with the hospital. The patient was a mother of four and an incredible person along with her family. They treated me great from the beginning to the end. I went through the surgery on 4/17/2008 and it was a success. They had me submit my receipts and I returned to the US. The recipient was discharged and is doing great. Now the director of the hospital informed me that the insurance has denied all of my expenses for travel and medical co-pays because I am not an Isaeli citizen. I am now in debt and can't return to work because of the surgery for 6-8 weeks and my blood pressure has been through the roof. I have been admitted to the ER 3 times since my return. Does anyone know of any financial assistance for a good christian who tried to save a life and was denied a fair shake. I have also contacted an attorney about going after the NJMF and they said I couldn't because surgery was done in Israel. Thank you for any help that can be provided

When was the last time a christian lost his job just for having faith? When was the last time a christian in the U.S.A. felt they had to hide because people in their community may beat up their kids because they believe differently? When was the last time you hid your faith out of fear or financial ruin because of your belief? Once you do then talk to the rest of us about your being persecuted. I know of kids being beaten and parents getting fired. If you opened your eyes you would see also, but it is easier to ignore and proclaim your faith is pure. Wake up and stop claiming someong casting doubt on your religion is persecuting you. There are many who are truly persecuted by your faith.
Should Christian preachers be allowed to profit from their preaching.? I was skipping through the high end of the Sky channels last night and found about 20 channels devoted to Christianity. Most of them featured slick looking preachers in expensive suits talking about how Jesus had saved them. Then I noticed something else they all had in common: numbers to call for people who wanted to make donations. This all sounded a bit hypocritical considering these guys where dressed to the nines and drove around in BMWs etc. One preacher even had the audacity to promise financial "blessings" if you donated $50. Another example of irony was the preacher who was talking about Jesus chasing the money lenders out of the temple, money being the root of all evil and the like, then asking for pledges! I am guessing that a large percentage of these donations go to the preachers to keep them in a high rolling lifestyle. Should this be allowed? Surely a true Christian would not be concerned with all the flash and pomp. Also, who pays these guys? Thoughts please :)
Christian Songs? My sister-in-law is going through a hard time right now and I am looking for some christian songs that will help her focus on God. We both listen to music when we are feeling down. She is feeling like God is distant right now and is struggling to aline her dreams and desires with Gods will. My brother is serving in Iraq and she has had 3 miscarriages over the last 2-3 years and they may lose their house because of financial difficulties and they are being sued by someone they let stay with them for a time and who claims to be a christian. I was raised muslim and not even really muslim, we never did anything to practise the religion. My mom just mentioned God a few times in our childhood, but we were just raised to be good people. I want to know Christianity and have it help me through the stressful times I am going through, with being a SAHM and financial pressure, marriage, etc, you know, life. I started reading a children's Bible, is that good enough. I need easy quick reading because I have to be on the run and clean and all that for the kids and just running the house. So what do I do now, what steps do I take. Should I just read the Bible, is that enough? Don't know of any Christian churches - they are all a religion like Bapt, Luth, Catholic. We've only been here for two years and really don't have many friends so we are not familiar with a church. Also, my husband is Christian and was all his life but was raised in California so he knows of churches there not here.
I need some christian advice....? Hi! I am dating a wonderful man who is a christian. He does have quite the past, which scares me. He has a daughter who is nine..and until recently, he wasn't involved in her life. He is 28 and has been married twice, at the age of 18 and later at the age of 23. He was not really following Christ at that time though. Sometimes, I honestly believe he is the one for me. We attend church together, talk about religious issues...and I love that I can do so openly without judgment. He treats me like a princess and tries to respect all my wishes/beliefs...even the ones he doesn't agree on. However, I still have doubts. His past and our age difference are BIG deals...but I feel so safe and secure and right when I'm with him. We really seem to grow in Christ together...especially when we're attending church, etc. He has changed his life...started school, tried to establish a relationship with his daughter, is clearing up past financial debts, etc. My real question here is...is it okay to have doubts? So many people say if he's the ONE, I wouldn't question it or wonder what else is out there, but I do. I worry that maybe God has something totally different planned for me. Is this normal with any relationship, or do you think it's God telling me to back off? Also, is it a sin to marry someone who has been married? Thanks! Are "EWE" a Good Christian or a Bad Christian? Here is the ultimate question, ARE YOU A GOOD CHRISTIAN OR BAD CHRISTIAN? Let's see, on the one hand, you have your religious training and on the other hand you have your Financial Cannibalism training (the I got mine, go get your own; mentality); the problem arises whenever you try to increase your income, as it almost always requires that sacrifices or compromises be made on the other side (our religious values). A true dichotomy, with a perfect relationship, as one goes up the other goes down; you get to choose which one goes up, but only at the expense of the other! Would this be the sacrifices that the Christian's leader referred to? Let's see, what else did the Christian's leader say? Oh yes, Love your neighbor like yourself! If Christians actually practiced this one, they would have to ask themselves a few questions before they could do anything that affected another person. Like, would I do that to myself? If they could somehow answer yes to this question, then they would have to ask themselves an even tougher question. Do I really love myself? Ask yourself the question, Are you a good Christian or a bad Christian? Ask yourself, do I ask myself these questions or do I just go for the GOLD? Most Christians just go for the Gold; pass the collection plate! No questioning, we don't like questions! I have heard from several sources that 70 to 80% of the population of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is a Christian. I would like to talk to all these Christians about how their leader told them to act and how they are currently acting, by asking them some questions. First question, when I was hungry, did you feed me? You can answer this one with a resounding yes, if you count all the organizations that feed the homeless, the homeless population of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is the most overweight homeless population anywhere (thank you, I guess?). Second question; didn't your leader say; when I was tired, did you give me a place to rest my head? Notice what he said, did YOU give me a place to rest my head; and not, did you give money to some organization (that are usually extremely under funded from your write-offs) to rest my head. To find out if you are good Christian or bad Christian, we will use the lower number of 70% of "our" population is a Christian. If everybody else in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA were homeless except the Christians, there could only be 30% homeless. That means that less than half of the Christians (35%) could have a homeless person in their home to show that they are the true followers of the Messiah; walking the walk, instead of just talking the talk, or just throwing money at homeless shelters so that they don't have to deal with it personally like your leader said you were supposed to! I have another question! Wouldn't it be a status symbol of a TRUE Christian to have a homeless person in their home? As not all the Christians could have one, so it should be a STATUS SYMBOL among real Christians; but its NOT! Imagine that! The answer is obvious, MOST Christians have lost the "way" (that which is obvious, isn't arguable), CLEAN UP YOUR ACT! You are LOST and CONfused! Look at it; I said LOOK AT IT! Can you see yourself? WELL, CAN YOU? I WILL KNOW THEE BY THY ACTIONS!!!! Now would be a good time to take both of your hands and cover your face AND Repeat after me, YOU CAN’T SEE ME! I had a dream the other night and in that dream, I spoke with Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be his name. Our Father said that I was a good little soldier and that I could have any position on Earth that I wanted while I am still here, so I asked if I could have the role of the fourth angel of the apocalypse. You know, the angel that tells the other three angels that they will have to wait to devastate the Earth and it's inhabitants, until I have had a chance to put the seal of Our Father on his people. In my dream, Our Father, said that he is a baseball fan and that I would have to get three strikes on each person before I could withhold his seal. Re-member what we have learned about seals, if the seal has been broken, it has most likely been CONtaminated or CONtaminated! Look ma, no Cracks! Are "you" ready Christian? Batter up! Question about a Christian wedding, RE:sex? My Mom is getting married and we are Christians.. Her finace is also a Christian. My Mom and her finacee have not had sex and are waiting until marriage. As a Christian do you feel that...? As a Christian, do you feel that if someone is financially unable to give money to the church that they will not be blessed? I financially am very much unable to pay bills let alone give money to my church. I attended one church where they told us that God "will not" bless you unless you give financially. I myself do not believe that, but I am curious to find out what my fellow Christians think. Also, please come in agreance w/ me. That we will find financial freedom and stability. We have been struggling for many years. We work hard but seem to have to go through many, many trials in our lives. Yet through everything I've gone through I still believe God is going to bless us and continue to praise him. Thank you & God Bless. I wanted to thank you all for your kind words and prayers. It's hard when your a parent and cannot give to your children. I want to be able to do for my children and to just survive. I am blessed to have wonderful sisters who help me out, I would just love to be able to do the same for them in the future. Has any christian ever been blessed by having an atheist in their lives? I was just wondering. My former boss is an atheist. I am only laid off due to lack of funds. Even though he and his wife are having their own financial difficulty, they bring me in 3 -4 times a month to do projects for them at a very nice pay rate to help me out. They fully know I am a firm Christian and we even have discussions sometimes. I play my Christian music and they don't care. What do Muslims do to help others. All this trouble about who is right or wrong in their belief, the proof is in the action. My wife is Chinese, Budhist, but we dont fight. She has started attending church with my son and I because of all the good deeds we do. We have food and clothing drives for people less fortunate,for other Countries also. When we have a financial offering we decide who it shoud go to. We help our local elderly by bringing church to them. She cant believe how nice everyone is to her. She gets more hugs at church sometimes then at home. Why doensnt an adult from any Religion, Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Budhist, whatever, look into the eyes of a child from a different Religion and and say hi, how are you, anything. See how simple it is to get a nice response and start a conversation. This is how life should be. Arent all Religions suppose to respect the children?
Can You Help Me in My Christian Belief For Restoration? Being a born-again Christian, I've been told my my pastor during many sermons that " a man reaps what he sows", which is absolutely true (and in the Bible). I've been taught that if I am wanting to expect a harvest of something I have to sow it in someone else. If I want friends, I have to be a friend. If I want financial harvesting, I should invest the same in soneone else in need. But my question is... how do I sow for restoration is a relationship? I'm not quite sure how to do that fully. I've been mediatating on scriptures to help me in my walk of faith, but I think I need help with how to sow that. Help I think my friend is in a cult!? My friend with whom I grew up with since birth started going to a church a few years ago. I knew this church was part of the christian coaltiion but my friend and her husband have given so much of their income to the church that they are now needing financial help and she is allienating her grown children and her family because she does not deem them "christians". The only people she talks with belong to this church and only speaks to her parents when things get so bad she has to ask for money. Help PLEASE! How can we pay this huge school bill off? This is a long question, hope someone can answer. OK, so I'm 14 and in the 9th grade. Ever since I've been in preschool, I've gone to a Christian school all my life, up until this year. This is the same for my 12 year old sister. Not this school year, but the past, my parents got divorced, and my mom suffered a few financial difficulties. We moved out of our house and put it up for sale, and, unknown to us, my mom told the school she'd pay the year's tuition off at the end of the year with the money we'd get from selling the house. Well, what do you know, the house didn't sell. My mom is now in debt of 7,000 dollars to the school and we're going to a public school this year. Going to this school just flat out sucks. I have no friends, I'm barely social, and it has caused my sister and I some emotional problems (i.e. seperation anxiety, on/off depression). My dad is receiving about a 13,000 dollar retirement check soon, which is about our only hope of paying it off, but if I ask him to do it, he'll only say that it's our mom's responsibility, or at least that's what I think will happen. I could get a part time job, but that would get us nowhere. I wish some miracle would happen and we could pay it off very soon, but so far no luck. Is there any way at all that this would be possible? My dad might do it, but he hasn't said he will. He was planning on buying a car with that money, but he says after bills he'll only have about 8,000, and he might not have enough to get a car. If only he knew how much I hate my new school, he might consider it.
