how do i get help for the holidays?
we are having a tough financial situation. we have no water where we live, because we cant afford to have the lines run. I have 2 children in high school, they are 16 and 14. My 14 year old still believes in santa claus. he wants a playstation 2 . I cant afford to buy it for him.

- I would check the pawn shops and see if you can get a deal on one and maybe a payment plan. some will work with you if you just ask nicely, If i had my other one i would sell it to you fairly cheap but since i had brought it to afghanistan with me and one of my boxes seems to have not made it yet i cant help you at this time.
- Check with the Salvation Army.
- NO water, and your 14 yr old still believes in santa claus, time to put your priorities in order, forget the playstation, talk to your 14 yr old and, save for water lines, never mind the playstations.
- Sometimes children must understand that there may be money problems, and how in the world have you allowed your 14 year old to still believe in Santa...Come on, I think it is time you have a talk with him...and if you have no running water, how is that good for your children? Think about your kids...That is not right!
- Go or talk with local radio stations,newspapers, tv stations- i don't know where you live but i know here in my town- they both have holiday drives for toys - and they also adopt families. I'm not sure about the playstation 2- but they could probably give you some help with everything else. Good Luck P.S.- unless you live in a really small town- your children probably already know santa's not real from the other kids at school. I knew probably a good 3-4 years before my parents finually realized i knew lol.....take care- wish i could help ya more- i think it's going to be a pretty slim christmas around the world this year!
