I am needing to find Financial Help to file for Emergency Guardiance of my Grandchildren ASAP.?
My husband and I are disabled with an income of $1306./mos. and my daughter and son-in-law are in jail for forgery/cashing check totaling over $10,000. They are going to prison and no provisions have been made for their 3 young children(6,4,3 yrs.)I cannot afford large sums to file. Are there any agencies or such to help out with this cost before we lose the kids to the welfare system?? Please help us!!!

- Call or go to your local Superior court or county clerk. Many Courts now maintain self help centers where you are given assistance with filling out the forms and filing for guardianship. Some times these centers acre called in pro per or per se clinics meaning you do not have an attorney and you are doing it yourself. Also call the local County or city bar association as they should be able to direct you to the telephone number or location of one of these clinics in your area.
- Contact Legal Aid or represent yourself --- go to the District Clerks office in you county and ask her what papers need to be filed and if she will run you off an example ---retype and return them to the courthouse and pay the filing fee which should be 40-50.00.
