I am a full time student and financial aid did not give me enough funds.?
I am a fulltime student for pharmacy and financial aid did not give me enough funds for school. I was also turned down by Key loan because of a credit rating from a nagative report from sears whom I have paid in full. I need to borrow $3800.00 so that I can have enough funds for the semester. Key loans said to try back in 6months and make sure that everything is cleared and they might give me a loan then. What am I to do right now? Is there anyone that will sponsor a 25 year old college student to help me stay in school? I owed sears $282.00 and I was making payments but not the amount they were asking all the time. I live on campus , my studies are very intense at this point which prevents me from working right now. Is there an organization or private company that will help me ? I go back to school in a few weeks. It is not easy trying to become a pharmacist. I am trying to get into pharmacy school.

- did you try to get loans from the govt. they normally grant loans regardless of credit history..... wht about work study...job at the library or something low key where you can study in your down time
- Will your parents co sign a loan for you? If so, try www.astrive.com
- You have several options: You can get a federal government loan. To do that follow these steps: 1) Fill out the FAFSA. This will determine if you are eligible for financial aid. Go here: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ 2) Once you are eligible for aid, choose a government-based student loan. The best loan to get is a Federal Perkins Loan. These have low interest rates and the government will help you pay it back as long as you stay enrolled in school. You also don't need a cosigner or good credit for it. For more info go here: http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/perkins_student_loans.aspx 3) The next best loan to get is a Subsidized Stafford Loan. This has many of the same benefits as a Perkins Loan. Learn more here: http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/subsidized_stafford_loan.aspx You also have the option of a private loan, but you can't get one on your own if you have bad credit or no cosigner. If you can find a cosigner with good credit to help you then you should try for one. Here's more information: http://www.studentfinancedomain.com/student_loans/private_student_loans.aspx Also, you can always try to get free money that you don't have to pay back. This is in the forms of grants or scholarships. - You can try http://www.prosper.com It is a lending site where people can bid for your loan!
- once you get IN to pharmacy school, all sorts of people will be eager to help you. Until then, you're SOL if you refuse to work.
- There are a lot of good suggestions here. I suggest you talk to someone at your school they need students and often have resources to help keep students.
