private student loans?

ive heard that private student loans have better interest rates than other sources... i was wondering what are some of the better loan companies out there?

  3. This is not true! Private student loans should only be used after you have gotten all the free money (scholarships and grants) and federal student loans that are available to you. Federal student loans typically have lower rates and better repayment terms than private student loans, and they don't require a credit check or cosigner.   4. Stafford loans are the best and should be your first choice. Wachovia has the best NO FEE private loans. Citibank and Sallie Mae BOTH have fees.
