Should I tip my financial advisor during the holidays?
He has been very helpful with our finances, but it just doesn't seem to make sense.

- I would advise against such extravagancies.
- they gets enough of your hard earned money..bake them some cookies
- Dont, they take enough already.
- yeah. Everyone appreciates a little $$ now and then.
- Don't tip the person, instead provide them with a nice gesture by sending them an xmas card, or even a small gift.
- Ask his advice
- no
- dont tip him, he skims enough off the top that he could pay you
- no they should only make money if they make you money and they get plenty off of their fees give that "tip" money to charity in his name if you want
- Trust me, I worked in the financial industry for years...they make a lot of money off of the money they make for you. The more they help you, the more they make. Do not tip them, in fact, they should get you a gift. If you would like to send a card, that would be appropriate.
- Get him a nice gift. Ask him what he likes, and if he doesn't want to impose, then get him a gift card at Macy's or Sears where they sell things for everyone, that way, he'll be able to pick out his own gift. Limit it to about $30-40 at most. Wal Mart has good sales, so if you get one there, he can buy more.
- Give him a card! He makes lots of money off from you AND all his other clients! ;-)=
