Where can I find a foundation or donor who would help to disperse funds to help me care for my aging Father?
My Father is 93 years old. He lives in an apartment with 24 hour care. He is my only family and I love him more than life itself. Every dime and penny I make goes to help him, his care, his medical bills, pay his rent, etc. I am rapidly going broke and do not know what to do, or where to turn. I want to see if I can obtain some kind of financial assistance via a grant , donation or other source. I do not want to deal with the state or the government , at this point as I do not want to have to move my Dad. He is comfortable and content @ home. - If your father is able to stay at home with the 24 hour care then they will not make you move him. Try local churches and your local agencies, goodwill, etc. They should be able to advise.
