Should drug testing be required to receive welfare or any other government financial assistance?

I think it would keep out the rif raf.

  1. Absolutely.
  2. Hell yeah! Thats a good question!
  3. defiantly
  4. no how else will i pay for my weed!!!!!!
  5. yea i agree...............
  6. Without a doubt. Also make it zero tolerance.
  7. yes!.....and give them a broom too, our cities are filthy
  8. Many people on welfare have drug issues which stops them from being able to work. More counselling should be given instead and more drug rehabilitation programs.
  9. Absolutely, but they would have to cut off about half of the people. Also I think if you are on assistance you should not be able to buy alcohaol or cigarettes either.
  10. No, unless you put them into treatment if the test was positive. They've cut the welfare programs so much there is no more riff raff.
  11. Excellent question. I think so, but if the government does that, they need to get social services on the front line, because if they do test parents and find them to be using drugs, the kids are going to put in jeopardy.
  12. You know what?! I never thought of it that way, but HELL YEAH!!!!!
  13. Yes--to make sure they're still taking their drugs.
  14. No, because alcohol is a also a drug, but society says, that one's O.K. Public assistance should be based on need, not righteousness.
  15. Ditto!
  16. I absolutely could not agree more with this. Also, the government shouldn't give out financial assistant as easily as they do to just people who are too lazy to work. That makes me sick.
