Who should I consolidate my Private Student Loans with?
I have some Undergraduate Student loans with AES and their rates keep going up and they are not great with customer service. I am wondering what is a good company to consolidate my private student loans with. I want good terms (as in deferment in school. etc.) Please help who has gone through this process. Thanks in advance =)

- To be honest I tried to do this and was told since they were private loans I could not consolidate...If someone has been able to please tell me WHERE>...student loans especially the private loans screw us the most..
- When I consolidated I used a company called American Financial Solutions. They worked with me to arrange a payment I could afford. In about 6 more months I will be completely out of debt. It was nice. Their number is 800-579-3462 or you can look them up online for more information. They are based out of Seattle (I am in Ca. though)
- ok consolidation can sometimes result in higher long term rates. i really really stress that you try paying the sum down ASAP. try moving back home with your parents. get a bf/gf or friend to move in with you to split the rent. dont spend any money and eat pasta for a whole month... if you do this you can save big time! just paying your rent toward the loan is big enough to get the interest under control. but call up the loan provider and ask for you best options. if they dont give you the right answers even try to call them again and get a different person on the phone. - different people give you different answers. loan people are not as professional as believed.
