Financial HELP!!!?
I have about 100K in student loans and have not found a job in the field in which I got my degree. The majority of my loans are through Sallie Mae... They will not really work with me to reduce payments. If I reconsolidate with them my payments will be HIGHER due to a higher interest rate. NOONE will reconsolidate these Sallie Mae private loans but Sallie Mae....I need help because the payments are so high and I have so much debt I cannot buy a house....so Im stuck in the parents basement till Im 50???? NO Does anybody know of a Grant program that will help pay off some of this? Or a consolidation company that will work with Sallie Mae Private loans?? Anything to lower the payments or pay some of it off..... Please People Im drowning in debt and I need some help....IM ONLY 25!!! Serious answers only please...jokers will be reported! - Well it sounds like you have a 100K problem. I can't offer any assistance with the private loans, but under certain circumstances federal Perkins and Stafford student loans can discharged or forgiven. Look at page 34 and 35 of the attachment to see if you or any of your loans can or will meet the requirements listed. You might consider being a teacher, nurse,law enforcement officer or a head start workers can get 100% of their Perkins loans forgiven.
