University of Illinois?

im 15 and a sophomore, i plan on going to my local junior college for 2 years, then go to UofI and major in engineering or sumthing to do with architecture for 4 years. Problem is, i messed around freshman year and didnt do so well (got mostly ds and cs). Last semester of this year i was much better ( mostly as and bs and 1 c and 1 d(spanish lol). I play football aswell, but i dont think id get an athletic scholarship to U of I so yea. if i get my grades up is there still a chance i can get into UofI?? ive been looking at the tuiton, room/board, ect. and talked to my parents about it, then i looked at that astrive student loans stuff, im kinda confused about it, if theres anyone that has used it before, please share what u no about it. Thanks. besides getting my grades up how can i improve my chances. ?? so.. it wouldnt matter that i screwed up in hs if in jc i did very well?? im sorta confused now..

  1. Theres 2 options for you. 1- You retake spanish and continue getting a's and b's in your sophe-junior years, your freshman grades wont matter on your weighted gpa which starts sophemore year. You would really have to work hard. 2- When you attend a junior college all of your high school grades get wiped clean. Then the colleges will only look at your jc grades. To improve your chances: Continue doing extra curriculars, and maybe even try to work something out with your football coach. I know a kid at my school, who was a decent football player, not really good, and his coach called the school and told them that this kid wants to walk on the football team. They accepted him and he didnt even end up walking on.
