Has any christian ever been blessed by having an atheist in their lives?

I was just wondering. My former boss is an atheist. I am only laid off due to lack of funds. Even though he and his wife are having their own financial difficulty, they bring me in 3 -4 times a month to do projects for them at a very nice pay rate to help me out. They fully know I am a firm Christian and we even have discussions sometimes. I play my Christian music and they don't care. They have been extremely nice to me for the last 4 years and I am just thankful for them. I pray one day they will find Christ, but I am thankful for them as friends.

  2. No, my boss was an atheist and he was intolerant of religion.
  3. Sure, my brother is an atheist and his family and my family are very close.
  4. Has any christian ever been blessed by having an atheist in their lives? Sure, ask my christian brothers and sisters and mom and dad.
  5. I only know one Atheist, and he's not really very nice. That's not because he's atheist, just beacuse he's weird. haha
  6. yes I am asian and white unfortunately my caucasian side does not believe yet, but we all love each other the same. they are not like the atheist here. they are nicer.
  7. Yes, I have! Some of them are right here.
  8. One of my longest and dearest friends is about as atheist as one can get. But she was fun to talk to and we've always enjoyed our friendship.
  9. I have had many good friends who were atheists. They could be my good friends because I didn't judge or condemn them; I accepted them for who they were.
  10. Aww... that is sweet. It sounds like your boss were thankful to know you as all. :) Edit: I should add, that there are many Christians in my life. I am grateful to have them as friends and family. I believe they feel the same way about me.
  11. there are atheists that are helpful in their occupations and I am sure that they have been a blessing even if I am unaware of their belief.
  12. I have told this story before about my brothers father in law. He was an awesome man who not only taught my sons to hunt, but other young men as well. He just loved being outdoors and wanted to teach that joy to others. He would give you the shirt off his back and a couple bucks to boot if you told him you needed it. He was such a good person that he truely believed that he did not need a God even if he existed. He died out in the woods of a heart attack and to my knowledge never did accept God or Jesus Christ as real let alone as his eternal creator and savior. Was I blessed from just knowing him, a huge yes. His family even used my church and pastor for the funeral services, fully knowing that he did not believe in God. His wife said it best, she said"We just never had any need for any of that stuff" She used a pastor because it was tradition to have a pastor at a funeral, not because she wanted to hear the word of God, although she and every one else there got an earful from our pastor.
  13. Yes, check out my question... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=As_ABsQPDCSlCWKPir5O11Tty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071116173044AAO6JQB
  14. Yes; one of my grandmothers is an atheist, and she is a very dear, sweet, loving woman who has never made one negative comment about my being Christian.
  15. Of course. I have mom in Bhuddism. I always pray for her to find Christ. And most of my friends, they are in Bhuddism. ( I used to be because I was born in Thailand.) I pray for them always and always. We just tell about God to them, in the right place and right time and the rest is God's work. If you really want them to be Christians, you have to pray with all your heart for them. Then he said to them, "Suppose one of you has a friend, and he goes to him at midnight and says, 'Friend, lend me three loaves of bread, 6because a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him.' "Then the one inside answers, 'Don't bother me. The door is already locked, and my children are with me in bed. I can't get up and give you anything.' I tell you, though he will not get up and give him the bread because he is his friend, yet because of the man's boldness he will get up and give him as much as he needs.' (Luke 11:5-7) with the love in Christ,
  16. There are some intolerant atheists out there, but to be fair, I'm sure they are in the minority. I have a few friends who are atheists, and they are nice people. (If they weren't nice, they wouldn't be my friends.) They know I'm Catholic, and sometimes we have little debates about the whole topic, but on the whole they let me go my way (religiously speaking) and I let them go theirs. .
  17. Any Christian that denies that athiests can be good and decent people is just profoundly wrong. An athiest can have exactly the same moral code as we Christians - and they may often do a better job of it than us. What differentiates the Christian and athiest in this case is WHY they live good lives. I don't know the answer for atheists, for Christians it because of their love of God.
  18. Judging others is not very Christian.
  19. No, and they want ever get blessed they just don't understand the truth.
  20. you are planting seeds my friend. My sister is atheist and I love her to death. Being an atheist does not make you a bad person it purely means you don't believe in a deity or God.
