When a "Christian" is sent to Prison, who is punished more: The one sent to prison, or their Family ???

After the "Bus Question", a serious one. And, I'm not actually a Bigot; I have learned to despise all types of Humans equally, until they prove to be worthwhile. Back to the Question: I said "Christian" not just to be malicious, but because other than the Black Muslims and one Atheist, that's all there is in Prison. Actual Factual. Society sends one to prison to "Punish", to repent. But WHO is truly punished? Upon arrival, most people fall off in with their respective cliques, known as "Get in where you fit in!", and for most, it's "Old Home Week" rather than punishment. One gets to see old friends & family, homeboys & fellow gang members. For your families, however, it's another story: THEY are truly punished. THEY have to visit you, send you $, explain to the children where Mommy or Daddy is, and why they can't come home. THEY have to find an alternate means of financial survival IF you were the "Breadwinner". THEY are the truly Punished, not the Offender. Any Thoughts ??

  1. And Yes, those who would still wonder... Been There, Done That.
  2. the one who is sent to prison because the family did not do any thing top deserve prison.
  3. I agree with you that the familly does suffer alot. I know that it is not fun to be a prison, they also miss their family, but when a family member lands up in prison, it is very stressful on the family members, especially the children.
  4. so what? no one is keeping the rest of the family from getting up off their lazy asses and getting a job. (there are daycares that exist to take care of children who have working parents) there is no excuse for unemployment. as for the emotional part on the family. thats tough but life is tough. the person in jail committed a crime and thus should be punished. if the family suffers they suffer because of the actions of that individual. that is their problem.
  5. Both the offender and their family are being punished! The offender was very selfish to just be thinking of themselves when they committed the crime! That person deserves to be punished, unfortunately the family is also punished for the offenders crime.
  6. Uhhh, if they were a Christian then they shouldn't be doing anything that would get them sent to prison. At least until liberals have their way and ban the bible as "hate speech" because it says homosexuality is a sin, then they could probably put pastors in prison for saying that being gay is a sin. They are not far from being able to do this. It already has happened in other countries.
  7. You didn't suggest a solution . There is none . It's not possible to permit a person to be beyond the law because he has a wife and kids depending on him . That would mean that anyone with dependents could do anything he pleases . Civilized society would come to a screeching halt .
