financial aid??
I just received a financial aid packet from my top choice college. Its a pretty good deal and I was wondering since my parents finances will probably stay the same, will I get the same amount for four years? That college is extremely expensive and if they lower the financial aid I get, I will drown in debt.

- Possibly, but you have to also remember that YOU will most likely not remain as predictable as your parents. You will probably get a job or participate in work-study and that will change your FAFSA report.
- Many private schools will shower freshmen with scholarships and grants to get them to commit to attending. Then as you progress in your college career there... the scholarships and grants lessen, if not stop all together. (After it's too late for you to transfer to a state school because they won't accept many of your private schools credits) and you have to take extra classes at that state school to meet the minimum number of hours at that school to qualify for graduation from there. (Example: you can't transfer to Harvard with one semester to go and expect your degree to say Harvard... you have to earn a % of your credits from that school... or any school. Just so you know). My advise: ask the school if you will be guaranteed this fin aid amount for the next four years. THey prob won't tell you yes, if they do... ask for it in writing!! GOod luck.
- Yes you do..You have to complete your FASFA form every year of your high school career and put your parents info too..Most likely you should get the same package..It doesn't really change from the first year..
- If your parents income stays the same and your income also stays the same than your financial aid should pretty much stay the same. The more your parents or you make... the less your financial aid. But also note that four years is a long time... school policy and programs could also change, too...such as your classes... you may not pay a lot right now for tuition. But that price for tuition may not be the same in 2 or 3 years. Also, I dont know if you've applied for CAL grant?? Talk to your high school counselor about it. It's also a financial aid for college... you can get it, if you have at least a 2.5 GPA. But, Honestly, I think you should be fine. Because I went through the same situation and I was fine... the only time financial aid didnt really cover was towards my senior year, when I was making a lot of money. GOOD LUCK!
- the quail of doom does not think financial aid packages will change.
- well yes as long as your folks dont go a change ing to much?and yes it can be pretty nice .,,good for all of you con..
