I would qualify for financial aid but i didnt apply for it and now...?

i cant afford to pay my current tuition bill...If I were to apply for financial aid for next semester would it cover last? in NY

1. normally it wouldn't but if you owe a balance financial aid will normally get what is owed before you get a refund of the excess of the funds
2. they will give you money for just this semester.
