Would Financial Aid cover the application fee?

At a UC college, the application fee is $60 per college. Would I be able to get financial aid for the application fee?

  1. You might be able to get it waived if you can prove to the college that you need financial help covering it.
  2. no, you do not get financial aid until you enrol in classes. Unfortunately an application fee is not considered a "need" to complete your accademic career at a particular school. Just apply to the one(s) you know you really want to go to. Unless they are private colleges usualy they have minimum guidelines to be considered for approval, make sure that you match every guideline before you pay, as it would be lame to pay for something that you could have found out would not happen for free
  3. No, you are not able to get financial aid for your application to colleges. However, you may be eligible for a fee waiver. At the end of the application, there is a fee waiver assessment which asks for your parent's income levels and the number of dependents in your household. After filling out the form, the application website will immediately tell you if you met the requirements for a application fee waiver (also known as the EOP). With the UC application, you may be granted a fee waver for up to four schools ($240).
  4. As far as I know, if you enrolled at a community college prior to applying to any UC or CSU campus, and if you have financial need and joined EOPS program, you can get up to five university applications fees waived.
