if you apply FAFSA (Federal Student Financial Aid ) about what is the range for this?

I am just getting out of high school and i live with my mother and i work and she works put we dont make alot of money we live pay-check to pay-check and we dont have any extra money say that we together made less then 20,000. So about how much will FAFSA give me to go to college if any

  1. The colleges you applied to use this application to determine your financial aid package. The amount each school will offer you depends on what they have for funding. The amount you will get for financial aid includes grants (which don't have to be paid back) and stafford loans (government funded loans to be repaid after and/or during your schooling). The stafford loans have maximum amounts depending on what year you are in. I know that unsubsidised Stafford loans for freshman (and sophomore too i think) is $2625 for the year. You should also apply for private scholarships as well.
  2. There is really no way to tell until you get the check really. They take alot of things into consideration. Were you raised by a single parent, are you going full time or part time, what were your grades like in school, and also depends on how much you get at your job.
