Does anybody know any financial aid websites I can use for college? Besides Astrive, I mean.?
I'm desperate to get financial aid for college this August since my job won't cut it and I don't qualify for Astrive Student Loans. Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and to explain my situation, I never got an F in any of my high school courses, got a 25 on the ACT and have been employed for about 8 months now. Hopefully, I can qualify for something. LOL

- Currently, I really do not suggest that you get any loans online. As you may know, there is a credit-crash that's happening and this is the reason why many online/private credit-loaners are closed down and some has increased their standards (i.e. Astrive). I suggest just looking into financial aid opportunities that you can get from your school. I know if your situation involves you living by yourself or with only one parent, and you are working and am in a desperate need for college money, you probably could qualify for a grant. And I'm sure that you could qualify for a school loan as well. One that I would trust is the Stafford's Loan, which is federal. There is also an option for work-study. Work on campus, and get paid for school (or partially). Basically, there are so many options that universities and colleges already offer, and there are financial aids coming from federal, state as well as the school. My suggestion is just to get your FAFSA through and you'll be good.
- ALWAYS start with the FAFSA, those other loans like astrive are ridiculous! you can get the same kind of loans lower interest by filling out the app. below. Talk to your financial aid dept. as well they are there to help http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/
