Does anyone else think student loans should be written off?
in bankruptcy just like credit cards and other debt? So shopoholics and gamblers can get off the hook but law abiding citizens who pursue higher education can't? I'm not talking about federal backed loans, I'm talking about private student loans from places like CHASE, JP Morgan etc.

- If there was a way to get rid off those loans, I am all for it... I am probably going to be paying on mine until I am 90! Sometimes I wonder if it was worth it....
- I totally agree w/ u on this...This is an injustice 2 all those that want 2 better themselves...Now, u know y this country is going down the tubes. U know is funny...the government rather help ppl that don't really need welfare n keep them in their programs than 2 try 2 help new students on getting their education so that they can b independent. There's something very wrong on some of those equations, man.
- It sucks that we even have to take out loans in the first place. For students like me who were raised by single parents, the first thing the financial office at the school wants to offer is loans as a way to pay for school. I'm not made of money, and neither is my mother. Furthermore, isn't it funny that the only way you can get a substantial amount of your education paid for is if you're a foster youth who have crackheads for parents???
- Money grubbing banks, corporations and government are to blame for these policies. May sound like a political ad, but it's not. Vote ABM and a little more care for the individual in financial policies.
