  1. Hi There! It depends on whether or not the school is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Go to the "Educational Funding" page on the website below. At the bottom, under the 'additional resources' section, there's a link to a document entitled "U.S. Federal School Codes 2007/2008" which provides a list of all Canadian schools that are recognized. If you attend one of those schools, you will be eligible to apply for the U.S. Stafford Student and Parents PLUS loans, as well as take advantage of the Hope Scholarship and Lifetime Credit Scholarship. At the state level, you'll need to search for what your specific state offers. For example, the State of Massachusetts offers up to 2% off the federal loan interest rate and has other loan programs for "International Students". A list of state agencies is also located on the "Educational Funding" page. Again, under the 'additional resources' section at the bottom, click on "State Higher Education Agencies". You should explore the other pages on the website, as well. It's the only website out there that combines all the information you need from both sides of the border. Good luck!
