how long does it take to fill out the federal form for financial aid?

- it can take a long time, 2 or three hours.
- If you fill it out at Http://www.fafsa.gov it doesn't take very long at all. I do mine online, and they get approved much easier also.
- The FAFSA? If you fill out the online worksheet beforehand, you can just fill in the actual form much easier. It only took me about 20 minutes. It just depends on your situation and which questions you have to answer, and how prepared you are.
- If you have all the information at your side, i.e., tax information, SS#, salary information, it shouldn't take you more than 30-45 minutes. Would also help if you request a PIN while you are completing the application so you can also electronically file your application
- If you have all the necessary information (ex: income tax returns) it shouldnt take you but an hour. At least that is all it took for me to do it.
- fill it out and find out.
- The internet version does not take that long, provided you have your "stuff" in front of you (tax forms, etc.)
- if u have all your information ready like taxes and all of that it should not take more than about 30-45 minutes
- If you start out with all of the income documentation for 2006 for yourself and parents and read the questions completely it should take no more than an hour to fill out a paper FAFSA or to complete the worksheet for the on-line FAFSA and possibly 20 minutes to fill out the on-line information. It takes me a lot less time, but then, I do it every day <G>.
- The first time it'll take several hours. Be sure to look through it and have all the info you'll need at hand. It'll be best to have a parent help you with it as they may have info that you'll need. Once you get all the info together, the next time it'll go much faster. it's well worth it!
