How can I get financial aid for school?
I need to know how to get financial aid for school. Will this money also cover living expenses say if I were to get an apartment and share it with someone? When do I pay it back and how much do I pay back monthly?

- www.fafsa.ed.gov Go to www.fafsa.ed.gov and you can apply online, or you can go to the Financial Aid office at your school and fill out the papers and mail them in. If you apply online you will first need to apply for a PIN number which will be used as your automated signature (online) so you will not have to mail anything in. You will need to have completed your 2007 taxes to use those on your 2008-2009 application for Financial Aid. Once you fill out the application, if you do this online you will get an email in about 1-2 days telling you it's been processed. Then your school's Financial Aid office will get your information and they can let you know more or less if you qualify, depending on the EFC (expected family contribution) that is indicated on your processed application. If you qualify for a pell grant (financial aid), you will be given whatever you qualify for per quarter. This can go toward tuition expenses and books and you can use whatever is left of it for living expenses. It's your money and it does not need to be paid back. If you do not qualify for the pell grant or if the pell grant is not enough to cover your tuition, this application is also good for applying for federal student loans through Financial Aid. They will notify you regarding student loans and if you get the federal student loans they do not have to be paid back usually until about 6 months after you graduate or drop out of school, but it all depends on who you choose as your lender. Hope this helps, good luck!
