How do you get Medicaid or other financial medical help in Texas?
I have a friend who is very sick with an eating disorder and needs medical attention and therapy ASAP. She has low income and no insurance (she is a professional ballet dancer). The public hospital released her before she was healed and she really needs to get into a private clinic. (She's blacking out constantly, has heart palpitations, she is over 5'5" I think and is only 89lbs!!) If you have any information that could help her get financial help fast, please answer! She lives in Texas, around Austin I think? But I'm not sure.

- she has to apply for it at her local social servises actualy her doctor should have recomended it for her
- See if there is a county hospital Breckenridge in Austin, if she makes less than I think $877.00 and single might be approved for Medicaid. She needs psychiatric help.
