Is there a place in Canada where i can get financial help to immigrate there?
I am engaged to a wonderful man who is Canadian citizen but due to financial reasons i am not able to afford to move there with him. He has alot of medical problems and i want to be there with him but since he is off work on disablity he cant afford the fees to get me there with him can anyone help me out? I am not going to be living on the dole when i get there but due to his medical problems our funds are all going to pay for medical expenses that OHIP wont cover. We can live on what he gets until he is able to return to work. His medical problems are from work related injuries. I very much want to work when i get there but until we can get the money to pay the high fees imposed by the gov there it will take much longer for me to do so. He tells me i get loads of money if i have a dot . There are organizations there that provide money to bring them over and house them while they are getting the paperwork through so they can work there. But since i want to work very much and am a US citizen it seems i am being penalized. My maternal grandmother was born in Canada so to live there will also be part of my heritage.

- It sounds like even if you could get the money which I doubt, you would need to find a way of making a living afterwards. What would you live on? It might be a bit harsh but if you can't afford even the first step then how will the rest of your life go?
- Why would Canada want to pay someone to come there and live off the "dole?"
- Stand on the street corner with a coffee cup. Or start a new Carrier as a prostitute. Anything for LOVE.
