What does it mean by financial aid eligibility?
Okay what does it mean by this? I looked at my financial aid tab on Texas Tech recently and It says my financial aid eligibility is $7,547. Last year it was $3,450 but I didn't get anything. What exactly do they mean by financial aid elibility -- will I get that money from the school or something?

- It sounds like you are eligible for $7,547 in financial aid (money to pay for school). And last year you could of gotten $3,450 but chose not to.. Did the school send you some papers to fill out but you didn't turn in? Or decided you really didn't want to take out a loan or bother with all the paperwork because your parents would pay? Call the school and ask for more details.
- This means that if you enrolled into school you would be able to be eligible for $7547 to go toward your tuition. If your total tuition is less than that amount for that award year, you could most probably receive the balance in a check from your financial aid office. However consider the price of your books and any other school related items you need to purchase. You have to be enrolled and actually show attendance before the FA office will finish processing your paperwork. You did finish your FA paperwork, right? Get to your financial aid office and see if your complete.
