  1. As long as you don't have alot of of money in it you shoudlbe straight.
  2. yeah, they can't check that stuff, that's private
  3. of course you will. In the states we all have (or should) have both a savings account and a checking account by hte time you start college. I have both since I was in high school and had no problem rec. fin aid in college. FIn aide won't check your account-you tell them how much you have- low ball it. The only thing affects your fin aide is the amount you/family makes. They can check with IRS W-2 and tax information. But you don't have to file for tax anyway.
  4. Yes you can. It has to do with your income, not what you have in savings. At least, that was my case. I had money in savings but didn't have an income, so I didn't have a problem getting the aid when I was in college. Good Luck.
  5. yes, if you don't have a lot of money in the account
  6. don't say anything cause if you have money now it don't mean you will have it tomorow
  7. You will recieve aid, but how much depends on how much you have in the savings account, how old you are, the school you are going to and so on but you will get some
  8. As long as you have a minimal amount of money in it, your savings shouldn't effect your ability to get financial aid. But you could be ineligible for aid just based on your income. They do ask how much money you have in your bank accounts on the FAFSA.
  9. Only if you're really poor or lie like mad on your forms.
  10. I recently got a grant and I have a savings account, so I would say yes! It may vary by state, but I would think you could.
