How can I apply for financial aid without my parents help?

I'm 21 and I have been living on my own for a few years now. I went to college when i was 17 but had to come back home for personal reasons. I want to go back but without the help of my mother because she doesnt want me to succeed at all and i have been taking care of myself ever since i was 15. How can I apply for fin aid without her taxes.

  1. As a general rule unless you are 24, married, have kids, a veteran, an orphan, a ward of the court, have a bachelors degree, or dependents other than your kids you have to put your parents income down on your fafsa. Just because she is providing you her tax information, does not mean she has to help you with your schooling. Good Luck!
  2. get a great job and pay for it all yourself. or wait until you are 24. or get knocked up or married. seriously though, you cant get financial aid without supplying your mom's info and they could care less if she actually helps you or not.
  3. If she absolutely won't give you her tax information, your next alternative to student loans could be scholarships and grants. The good thing about these are that they are free sources of money that you don't have to pay back.
