  1. did u just graduate?? yes u can....i think u can for a year after your senior year....talk to a councilor they will know for sure
  2. depends on the school u wnat to apply for financial aid in, each school lets u apply for financial aid anytime u want to, as long as ur still inrolled
  3. yes you can. go to fafsa online and fill it out.
  4. you can always file for financial aid, no matter how long ago you graduated. each state has a filing deadline for certain grants but loans and other scholarships can still be given. go to the fafsa.ed.gov website to apply. you will also want to talk to the financial aid department at the school you are interested in immediately. you probably won't get that great of a financial aid package this year, so make sure you know the grant deadline and make it for next year. hope this helps.
  5. You can still apply as long as you do it before the deadline. You might want to do it now so you can get some money.
  6. If you'll be continuing your college education, you can certainly apply for Financial Aid for the upcoming year. If you're looking for a financial aid package to be applied "retroactively," it's a little more complicated. In short, you can still RECEIVE financial aid after you've left school (college), but you can't APPLY for financial aid after you've left school. In other words, if you completed the required application (FAFSA) before you left school, your school can still disburse some types of aid for you. Basically, all you have to do to get a Pell Grant [assuming you're otherwise eligible for one] is file the FAFSA before you leave school; to get a late Perkins or Stafford loan disbursement, your school must have awarded/offered you one before you left school. Not sure? Just ask. That said, you're too late if you didn't begin the FAFSA until *after* you graduated.
  7. Yes you can. Fill out the FAFSA for governemtn loans that go to your school or Try iStudentLoan.com call them at 1-888-816-LOAN. i got a private student loan from them and they sent the money staright to me.... not my controllers office.
  8. There are tons of scholarships that go unclaimed each year. Many $400, $500 or $1000 scholarships never even get applied for because people think it's chump change and not worth applying for. Well, get a few of those $500 scholarships and it'll really make a dent in your tuition bill. Do a search on scholarships, search your major, your ethnic heritage, your town, your parents employers, your employer, hobbies, high school, local chamber of commerce/rotary/ lion's club etc. Left-handed? There is a scholarship out there for you! Older woman returning to school? There are scholarships out there for you. Do combined searches on more than one criteria "hispanic women aviation scholarships" etc. Go to the library and ask the reference librarian for a reference book on scholarships. They usually have more than one. There are all kinds of scholarships out there, you just have to start applying yourself and make it your summer career to send out letters everyday for scholarships. Good luck!
