- you dont need your parents to get financial aid unless you live with them. Hell, if they wont give their info then tell them they can pay it. After all, they are your parents and they owe you an education! If they are too sorry to help you then move out and you can get the aid by yourself. What DID they blow your college fund on anyways...or did they even care enough to save any money for your college at all.Sorry, but your parents have really pissed me off.
- If I were you, I would go to a Florida college admissions office and explain your problem and talk to one of their counselors about that. You might want to call first, for an appointment. You know you're not the first one this happened to, and they should be able to tell you how to handle the problem. Also read the federal aid application forms, as they may have an 800 number that you could call to get help with these questions or any others. The counselor would be your best bet, though, because your getting financing is in the college's interest as well as yours.
