Do I apply for financial aid first or do I apply for college first?
I am so confused about the whole process.

- Financial aid first, after you think you know what college you're going to go into. You can always put a hold on when you get your money. ^^; -Tim
- You can do them at the same time. When you apply for financial aid, the forms will have blanks for you to fill in what colleges you want to receive the financial aid information. If you are only thinking of one school, put it. If you are thinking of 10, put them all (even if you don't end up applying for them all). You can also go back later (online) and add schools if you think of more. So, a more direct answer to your question is that you can apply for college first or you can apply for financial aid first, or you can do them at the same time. The order you do them doesn't matter so much as you making sure you meet the deadlines. (I believe FAFSA financial aid forms are due March 1, but they can still process them after. They just can't guarantee your financial aid will get there on time if you apply later than that.)
- Apply for college research and apply for financial aid get advised testing if necessary register and pay get books go to class!
- Apply for college first. Once you're accepted the Financial Aid office will help you apply for financial aid. One of the things you need in order to get financial aid is proof that you've been accepted to a school and, for some sources, proof that you're registered for a full load of credit hours.
- first u should apply for college so that u would know like how much they are gonna charge u(tution fee) and than u can apply for finacial aid.
- You need to do both, pronto. What I suggest is that you fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before the deadline. Colleges use this information to determine what aid and/or how much your eligible for. Typically, grants (Pell), work-study, federal loans (Stafford), etc. The application deadline is July 2nd at midnight. Also you need to check with your college's website about admissions and check out their financial aid section. If all else fails call them up. They can help.
- You should apply to college first, but be sure to check the colleges of your choice for financial aid deadlines. Many schools have early deadlines for premium scholarships and grants, because they run out of funding at some point. You can file a FAFSA at any time throughout the academic year, but filing early (usually before March 1 preceding your freshman year) will ensure that you get considered for the most aid possible.
- Aid first, you can list different schools. It's o.k. to apply first so that whatever school you choose to attend will have all of your information. You need to do this even if you're not sure where you are attending so that it doesn't hold up loan disbursement. Go to FAFSA on the web and good luck!
- You can apply for financial aid first if you know the school code and know def. this is where your going. you do want to get assistance done early. but i would want to do the admissions appl. first to see what else I might need to do to be apart of the school
