Consolidating SallieMae Student loans?
Is there anyone that will consolidate sallie mae student loans? Also who is the best provider of consolidation for private student loans?

- Yes, both of my children consolidated their loans, but I took care of the research. I found that Higher Education Resource Organization (HERO) was the easiest and had the best rates, although the lenders are very competitive. It can get complicated if you don't understand the banking language, so try to familiarize yourself with all of your loans, i.e. subsidized, unsubsidized and private loans. Have all of your loan information readily available and keep a pen and paper at hand. Good luck, consolidation is a good idea.

- Consolidate your student loans w/ Sallie Mae. DH did. They are very easy to work with. You aren't going to "get a better deal" somewhere else - the Feds fix the rates, anyway.
