Which private student loan company is better Astrive or Sallie Mae?

1. Don't know about Astive.....but we use Sallie Mae and they have been wonderful, especially if we have had a financial crisis!
2. Look for credentials. How long has that company been in the industry? This is important because smaller newer lenders may just go out of business or sell your loans to another lender and you may lose benefits they promised. Look for service and benefits. Technology is also something to consider. Can you access your account online? make payments online? request payment plans online? Sallie Mae is well known withing the student loan industry. Astrive I think is a newer lender. Your financial aid office is a good source to assist in making the decision but you will have to make the final one
