Fed Financial

I need help finding a student loan.?

I am a sophomore college student trying to find a loan for about 5,000. I am trying to purchase a car because I commute to school. I already received the Federal Direct Loan, but it was a very small amount. I have a cosigner with good credit, but he is unemployed at the time. PLEASE HELP!!

  1. try stafford loans... or the ge money student loans.
  2. Ask the financial aid office at your school. They must approve any amounts you borrow for student aid. You cannot borrow more than the cost of attendance for the school. If you have already gotten a fed loan (direct is a type of stafford loan) you will have to get a private loan. You are probably better off trying to get a car loan from the bank. You won't get a private loan if your cosigner is unemployed.
  3. There are several types of loans that you may be qualified for. Personal loans, Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans.... Did you fill out a FAFSA this year? What you need to do is speak to a Loan Officer. I've had really good luck with Student Aid Lending, inc. http://www.studentaidlending.com . I reccomend speaking to them. If you tell them Tory Davidson referred you they can really help answer all your questions and possibly give you a loan.
  4. With a co-signer you can receive up to $25,000 a year with www.iStudentLoan.com for your tuition costs, room and board, travel and all everyday student expenses such as cars.
  5. try http://www.studentloanxpress.com/ if you have a good co-signer (sometimes you don't need one) approval should be quick and easy. Also, they don't use a debt to income ratio for approval...so you may not have a problem with your co-signer not being currently employed. Good Luck!
