Financial Help?
My husband of 4 years just up and decided that he didn't want a family right now. He left me with all of the bills and absolutely no money. I have applied for food stamps, but that isn't gonna help with the bills that I have due now. My car is fixing to get repo'ed and if I lose my only mode of transportation I am really in trouble. I have asked everyone I know, including family and friends, for help, but none of them are able to. So I feel completely lost. Not only have I lost my husband, now I am losing everything else I have ever had. I have not worked in the last 3 years because my husband supported me. I am currently looking for a job, but by the time I get paid everything will be shut off and I won't have a car to get back and forth. I have a 2 year old son that has to be taken care of. So my question is...Does anyone know of any government or non-profit agency in Tennessee that could help me? I have tried a loan, but no one will give me one because I don't have a job. First off, I AM looking for a job. Secondly, I do plan on supporting my son. My husband left me with all of the bills due and no money to pay them and you think getting one weeks worth of pay is gonna help me cover a months worth of bills. I never even thought about not getting a job. Infact I was out looking for a job the day after he left. I think your answer was very rude and if you don't have some good imput then please just go away.

- Yes, try one of these agencies. Make sure they have a satisfactory rating with the Better Business Bureau. You need to get a job soon. Make sure you let your lender know that you are close to making your payment. They will frequently work with you for a month or two.
- if you were in the UK i would tell you to first off all sell your car and use public transport you know them things called buses then get off your lazy a** and find a job.......what makes you diffrent from anyone else ...look hard enough and you will find a part time job that will work round your kids hours.....what makes you diff rent from all other single mum.......we go out and work for our kids why shouldn't you?
- Have you gone to the welfare office, a women's shelter (it IS abuse in the sense that you can't even buy food for your son), or Aid to Dependant Children? Not sure about Tennessee, but here in Texas a friend applied and got almost $1000 just to help get back on her feet after a similiar situation. The jerk would absolutely deserve it if you got one of those payday type loans online. Not that I would ever condone using someone's social security number for those purposes *cough*. I really feel for you and hope you get help soon. As for Mags' comments above, ignore mean people. Sh!t happens. I was a single mom for years and I would never be condescending about the plight of others.
- Do you own a home? If so you can do a cash out refi and put some money in the bank to tide you over. The process would take 2 weeks and isn't difficult. Feel free to email me for any guidance
