If I fill out a FAFSA (Free Financial Aid) will they do a background check?

I got in a little trouble when I was 18. Now that I am older and wiser, Iwant to apply for financial aid for colleges, will they look into my background? Please help.

  1. I believe that they will ask about if you were convicted of possession/selling drugs. Go to the Fafsa website and you can call/email them.
  2. yeah i'm pretty positive they do. they check everything like your ssn and all that.but don't let that discourage you from doing it.
