  1. You can either do it at your school or go to this website http://www.fafsa.com/ Or if you want scholarships and they have some other stuff their its the best website http://www.fastweb.com/ Good luck!
  2. Yes go down to the school's Registrar office and they should have forms for you to fill out to see what types of financial aid you qualify for. If you and your parents make anywhere near decent money you will probably qualify for student loans, which do have to be paid back after you graduate. But there are grants that some people qualify for, which will pay for your schooling and does not have to be paid back (as long as you average C's in most of your classes I believe)
  3. Okay, first of all the correct website for federal financial aid is www.fafsa.ed.gov. The .com one listed is a SCAM and will ask you for a credit card number. DON'T DO IT. Applying for financial aid is free. If you are already in school, then you are late and need to apply now. It takes weeks and weeks to process, so don't expect money any time soon. For next school year, you need to apply as soon after Jan 1st as possible (yes you are applying 7 months in advance). The fafsa is the beginning process to all federal financial aid as well as most state grant programs. I'm attaching a dept of ed publication describing the different programs and descriptions. Scholarships are a good resource as well, but also need to be applied for early. Good luck.
  4. talk to a financial aid officer at the school. that is what they are paid for.
