- First, I hope you realize that the term, "Young Accountant" is setting you up for a lawsuit. It is illegal to discriminate against those 40 or over, in the US. As for the rest of the questions, what you should do is go and sit down with the Controller/CFO and ask them what exact things they need in this position. Everything you stated is HR gobbledy-gook and has no real meaning. Any degreed accountant will have "theoretical" skill. Real world practical skills would come from previous jobs. And the rest is BS. A good recruiter looks for keywords on resumes, a GREAT recruiter talks to the people that are doing the job, or have done the job, or will manage the job and finds out what the BS terminology really means
- ask them if they say "excuse me" when noone else is around..silly question but what people do when noone is looking is a insight into their charater. ask them a set of questions that are kinda trick questions regarding privacy of statements.... 1.is it ok to leave a statement on your desk with another client in the room? 2.would it be ok to take someones statements home to work on out of the office? etc....the answer should always be no but just see where they would draw the line on some of these important issues..
- 1.Tell me about an instance when you have overcome an obstacle and how you did it. 2. give me an instance when you have had to conclude a task by unconventional means. 3. give me the order of importance you consider he following . trustworty loyalty honesty from the answers to these you can work out the value of the candidate.
- Make them simple frequent asked questions ,that person is not looking for that they're more focused on hard to answer question that are usually prescript-ed in their minds of answers they will be asked, you are more likely to get a honest and none rehearsed answer or feed back. Establish your questions from this.
