  1. The summer application is only available for students: 1. who did not attend FALL or Spring 2. both FALL and SPRING or 3. who attended both FAll and Spring but did not attend FULL TIME in either semester in any institution where they were awarded the PELL GRANT. How much money you qualify for depends when you do your FAFSA application which the application can be found at www. fafsa.ed.gov. When you do submit your FAFSA application and they give you a confirmation number. Below that there is an EFC code that they give you. Depending on that EFC code you talk to your Financial Aid Office and they look at their EFC graph. After that they are able to tell you if you qualify and for how much you are eligible for. Keep in mind that if you do qualify, if you are in suspension or you have any holds you won't be eligible.
  2. If you didn't attend school full-time (or at all) during either the fall or spring semester of the 2006-2007 school year for which you were awarded a pell grant, there will be "left over" money that you can use for the summer of 2007. You will want to ask about the disbursement date, though. At my school, I didn't actually recieve my summer aid until the semester had ended! Another option not offered by all colleges is "borrowing" from your 2007-2008 financial aid award for the current summer session. I believe you would have to fill out the FAFSA for 07-08 before the FA office could tell you if you would be eligible for this. Good luck!
